Buell is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northern Montgomery County, Missouri, United States.[4] As of the 2020 census, the population was 25.[3] It is located 7 miles (11 km) northeast of Montgomery City on Route 161.
History
Buell was platted in 1903, and named after Buell Hensley, a local businessman.[5] A post office called Buell was established in 1904, and remained in operation until 1978.[6]
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Buell CDP has a total area of 0.09 square miles (0.23 km2), of which 0.001 square miles (0.003 km2), or 1.12%, are water.[2] The community is on a slope which drains north toward Elkhorn Creek, part of the Cuivre River watershed which flows east to the Mississippi River.
