Not to be confused with the little native mouse (Pseudomys delicatulus) of Australia or the delicate salt flat mouse (Salinomys delicatus) of South America.

The delicate mouse (Mus tenellus) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae.[2] It is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and possibly Eritrea. Its natural habitat is dry savanna.
