Father's Footsteps (Arabic: Khutaa'ab) is a 2023 short film directed by Mohamad W. Ali.[1] It got official selections at the 52nd Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival and Moscow International Film Festival 2023.[2][3] The film was premiered at the 2nd Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival 2025 in the World Lenses strand.[4]
Plot
Set in the Syrian civil war of 2016, the film is about a woman who tries to hide the truth of the father's absence from her child by 'acting' the father's role.[5]
