Kabgian District (Persian: بخش کبگیان) is in Boyer-Ahmad County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the city of Chitab.[4]
History
After the 2006 National Census, the village of Chitab was elevated to the status of a city.[5] After the 2011 census, the district was separated from Dana County to join Boyer-Ahmad County.[3]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population (as a part of Dana County) was 10,391 in 2,228 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 8,975 people in 2,224 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 7,741 inhabitants in 2,172 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county to join Boyer-Ahmad County.[3]
