Naval Vessels Naming Regulation
The Naval Vessels Naming Regulation (Chinese: 海军舰艇命名条例; pinyin: Hǎijūn Jiàntǐng Mìngmíng Tíaolì) is the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy's regulation for naming its vessels. The regulation was published on 18 November 1978, and updated on 10 July 1986.[1]

| Conventional submarines | Changcheng (Chinese: 长城; pinyin: Chángchēng; lit. 'Great Wall') followed by a serial number[1] |
| Mine warfare ships | Zhou[1] |
| Submarine chasers and missile boats | Counties[1] |
| Large amphibious warfare ships | Mountains[1] |
