Taniyama Dam (Japanese: 谷山ダム) is an earthfill dam located in Hyogo Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for irrigation. The catchment area of the dam is 2.9 km2. When at full capacity, it impounds about 7 ha of land and has a storage capacity of 412 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1972 and completed in 1974.[1]
